The original blue and green colors used by Meramec Youth Hockey Club were from the Vancouver Canucks who were an NHL expansion team that same year back in 1970.  Through various homes including the old Kozeny Wagner building in Arnold, a rink the club ran in Ballwin and shared with many other clubs of the day, to the Kennedy Rec Complex in 1974 and other area rinks the club has survived.  In 2003 the club entered a new chapter when the opening of their own rink called The Shark Tank opened in South County.
